WONDERWALL

YOYOGI VILLAGE code kurkku / Music Bar

November 2011 - Yoyogi, Tokyo

"GREAT ESCAPE"
Wonderwall was asked to work on the design direction for this vast premise and interior design for the restaurant, Code Kurkku, which is situated minutes away from the JR Yoyogi station. This project was lead by music producer Takeshi Kobayashi who invited Shinichi Osawa to join as co-producer in "kurkku". The concept is a retreat easily accessible from urban city life. Entering through the glass gate, despite the fact that it is located in the center of Tokyo, you will immediately find yourself in an extraordinary place called "Yoyogi VILLAGE." The vivacious yet relaxing garden was created in collaboration with plant hunter, landscape designer Seijun NISHIHATA, and the restaurant circumventing the lounge and music bar resonate with one other in its affinity in the design. What has been created here is an environment where you can subconsciously sense the exuberance of city life, while enjoying a "Great Escape," where you can relax your shoulders.
