WONDERWALL

colette

August 2008 - Paris, France

A redesign project for Colette, one of Paris's major sources of information on the latest trends, including the Water Bar located in its basement. The hurdle was to further evolve the charm and strength of the store that were already prominent before the renovation. Katayama designed 'orderly disorder' via incorporating both vertical and planar layouts in displaying various items such as street wear, luxury clothing, cosmetics, CDs, books, and jewelry as well as in its gallery space. As a result, an overwhelming amount of information is conveyed along with visual strength.
