WONDERWALL

BLAMINK

October 2016 - Aoyama, Tokyo

The design captures a “situation” which feels as if the boutique had started casually when one stumbled upon a certain building, and began to display items by lining up shelves and products. The project is one which creates rich, universal spaces in alignment with Misako Yoshitake’s clothing, and her relentless pursuit of the essence. The project is also inspired by Bauhaus, which was recognized around the world as a non-commercial establishment. Likewise, the design of this boutique avoids using explicit elements, and meticulously weaves details to create a space that is both general and anonymous. As a result, carefully calculated items such as hangers, table, Jonathan Monk’s art, and JBL Paragon speakers, are placed with specific functionalities in the space. The combination of these elements quietly define BLAMINK’s identity, emanating a unique atmosphere.
