For the 2025 LUMINE Takanawa Gateway store, the design distances itself from the commercial mall context and instead evokes the atmosphere of a fashion designer’s atelier rather than a boutique.
Delicate metalwork at the entrance, unadorned mortar flooring, and chandeliers composed solely of light bulbs preserve a sense of effortless “cheap chic,” while the spatial sequencing and nuanced lighting plan enhance the quiet sophistication characteristic of the Drawer brand.
