“HUMAN MADE,” produced by NIGO®︎, has opened in the historic Repulse Bay Arcade in Hong Kong, with a dedicated corner for “DESCENDANT.”
Inspired by the brand’s slogan, “THE FUTURE IS IN THE PAST,” we imagined a fictional boutique as if it had existed inside the Repulse Bay Hotel―a piece of colonial architecture that once stood on this site in the 1920s. With this concept in mind, we aimed to breathe new life into the legacy of the location and present an alternative vision of the future. While restoring the spatial configuration of the original architecture, we incorporated the brand’s philosophy into the colonial style to create a seamless fusion of past and future.
By expressing respect for history and culture through a contemporary lens, we have created a cultural setting that brings the philosophy of HUMAN MADE to life.
